About the Subjective Geek

My name is Lionell Pack, and I’m a geek.

This is my personal blog. It contains my personal views. If you’re looking for my professional coding blog, try here. If you’re looking for my philosophical musings, try here.

I’m a bit of a gamer. I used to be a lot of a gamer – from Avatar to World of Warcraft, I did it all. I even maintained my own druid blog for a while.

I’m a keen martial artist. I’ve studied a few styles over the years, but I seem to keep returning to taekwondo.

I love the water, and over the years I’ve been a keen swimmer, sailor, and most recently, kite-surfer (I’m awful at that last one, but it’s tremendous fun!)

I’m a politician. I love reading and writing. I’m a horror movie buff. I write computer software for fun. I’m a bit of a networking geek, and when I was in high school I had a holiday job managing Cisco routers and a FreeBSD server. I’ve plaited several whips, and I’m still heart-broken that they cancelled Firefly. I know the difference between a gerund and a gerundive.

What will you find on the Subjective Geek? It’s become the home for my comic strip, until I decide what I want to call it.
